enough is enough

ok. its official. Israel has officially gone too far. now i've said before that this whole incedent is overblown and Israel had too much wiggle room. bush wasn't stepping up for anything, and he and Rice are ignoring all calls for a cease-fire. so the question is will they listen to this? this news hasn't hit the big media (probably for tomorrow's papers) but what will the reaction be? most Americans were probably content to lok at the incedent as something that is somewhat normal in the Middle East, but even Americans have a big heart for the Red Cross people, especially when the word "volunteer" is used. still, Israel may have just hung itself with the world watching, and with the bushites soon to be out of office, i'm not so sure that Americans still believe that protecting the state of Israel is in America's best interest. hell, i'm not so sure that i believe it's in America's best interest, but that's only based on my assumption that if we throw the kind of money we are throwing at Iraq at developing new fuel we can do it pretty quickly (believable). if it's impossible to do that (and with this kind of government it is; counterproductive to his personal profits, you know) then having Israel as an ally (and the biggest nuclear power over there so we don't have to carry all our heavy nukes) would be very beneficial to America/bush, and we should protect our allies. still, the destruction of Red Cross people and equipment is a thing that should be condemned by all leaders. bush should hold Israel accountable and finally tell them to "stop this shit."
